KeyServer and Portable Key Access for Faculty

To give faculty an opportunity to learn the latest software installed on campus, the CRIT Department provides a DVD that contains KeyServed installers for SAIC's current software applications. This allows you to install the programs at home while still using licenses owned by SAIC. You can sign out the installer DVD at the CRIT General Access Lab in MC 901.

Please note that after installing the software, you will need to connect to the SAIC KeyServer via an Internet connection to activate and use the software licenses. Activation instructions are included on the DVD installer disc.

If you will not have access to an Internet connection for a period of time—for example, while traveling—you may activate a 7-day Portable Key using KeyCheckout, which is also included on the installer DVD. Please note that KeyCheckout will require a brief connection to the KeyServer to activate Portable Keys, so you will need an Internet connection to begin the Portable Key activation process.
