B&W Copying and Printing at The Service Bureau
The Service Bureau is SAIC's premiere centralized copy and printing hub. We provide high-speed, high-quality photocopying and a multitude of other finishing services for students, staff, alumni, and faculty at competitive prices.
Some Service Bureau copying guidelines:
- Please allow at least 24 hours for your job to be completed. If time allows, jobs may be completed sooner.
- Turnaround times may be longer for jobs over 2,500 pages, jobs that require special handling, and during high volume times (beginning of semester, etc).
- We will not photocopy books or legal documents.
- We can only resize your documents to fit our standard paper sizes (eg. 5"x7" may be enlarged to fit 8.5"x11"). We do not do custom enlargements.
- Please remove all staples, post-its, and binding from documents that you would like copied. Double check that your pages are in order and that there are no spelling mistakes.
- ArtiCash and ArtiStaff are the only accepted methods of payment. We do now accept cash, checks, or credit.
- We are not responsible for delays that result from customer errors (typos, etc).
- All sales are final. You will only be refunded for errors resulting from copier malfunctions, not user errors.

We have two high-speed Canon copiers that are capable of 105ppm, as well as 3-hole punching and saddle-stitching booklets.
Documents for printing can be emailed to us at servicebureau@saic.edu along with ALL printing details, such as your contact info, paper type, quantity, department (ORG if possible), etc. Please follow up with a phonecall to 312-629-9155 to confirm that we have received it and understand the job.

Grommets are great for hanging inkjet prints, or binding a few sheets together. They are silver, and 3/8" in diameter.

Magnets are also available in the same size and same price. This pricing includes color printing, using our 35 button/page template. Turnaround time for printing is 24 hours, turnaround time for assembly of up to 35 buttons is another 24 hours. If you want it done faster, feel free to print the design yourself at our self-serve color copier, or one of the many b/w copiers around the school. Self-assembly must be done on the 11th floor, by checking out the punch kit.
If you are considering runs of 250 or more, please consider Busy Beaver Button Co. ...assembling large numbers of buttons yourself can be tedious. Our service and pricing is well-suited to small runs, from 1-100.
